The Vice President, Creative Services leadership and relationships attract future creative leaders and clients because this individual builds trust and confidence through their work and actions. You will function as a fuse between helping to close new accounts as needed from the sales department and ushering new clients into the Social Link productions environment with the support of account managers and creatives. Ultimately, you are ensuring quality deliverables of products and services.
You possess an ability to develop strategies that lead to new ideas and solutions for our clients. You need to be an expert in marketing and a master of branding and positioning. You’re fluent in both design and copy but your background is grounded in copy. You set the creative standard at Social Link. You are adept at evaluating and guiding creative solutions against our standards.
You are adept at directing the creative product at the agency and strive for excellence in everything from concept to completion of every project on schedule. You lead the Social Link brand positioning, planning and ensure creative standards.
You attend and lead creative input meetings (along with the art director/copywriter team/account managers/development team) to develop creative strategies and help flawlessly implement all creative requirements including copy, layout, illustrations, final art and photography.
You are willing to learn and stay on top of emerging trends and technologies and do whatever it takes to enhance the skills required to be successful in this role.
You enjoy closing and networking. Helping funnel leads, nurturing current clients and coordinating with sales for future growth is always at the forefront.
You can analyze trends, look at new data and make connections that translate into insights or strategies. This may require the use of platforms such as Adwords, Google Analytics, Hubspot, Facebook Advertising, Instagram Advertising, etc.
You know when to support an idea or abandon it, when to listen and when to sell, and when to coach or when to push. You have that intuitive sense, backed by data, to make the right decisions at the right time for the right reasons.
You are a great communicator, motivator, and facilitator rolled into one. You are at ease presenting to clients, speaking with a CEO as much as you are coaching an intern. Yet, with each audience, you connect in a way that builds trust and respect. You are articulate, friendly, have a “whatever-it-takes” approach, along with an extremely strong work ethic (a good sense of humor helps, too).
You work closely with client services to solve marketing problems through smart, well-designed solutions that help market and grow client and agency brands and reputation.
You represent the agency at creative/professional/civic functions. You enjoy talking with new clients and are open to having lunch or dinners with clients when needed.
You understand agency financial operations. You have the financial acumen and oversight necessary to make informed decisions that lead to growth, staff utilization, and profitability. You have the ability to create a quote for new projects and campaigns to keep account health in check.
Strong ability to analyze marketing budgets and work with financing teams to allocate resources.
Ability to organize and collect data for optimal ROI and user engagement with A/B testing graphics, content, and positioning of brands. Organize reporting for lead generation and sales commerce.

You have a passion for the marketing communications industry. Must be knowledgeable and fluent in marketing communications strategies.
You manage the creative/production department (art directors, copywriters, production artists, account managers, etc.)
You interview and screen applicants with account for creative positions for future internal roles, contracting roles as well as hire and terminate.
You have oversight on selection and management of all creative freelance services.
The job of a Vice President, Creative Services is not a role anyone can simply step into straight out of college. Skills acquired whilst working in advertising agencies over a number of years need to be utilized. They include:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to lead, and inspire, a team of creative people
Presentation skills and ability to pitch new ideas to creative and executive teams
A solid background in copywriting and/or design and art direction
Willingness to work long hours and weekends (but not always necessary – we try to limit the schedule to M-F 8am-5pm as much as possible)
Travel as required (company expensed)
Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, PowerPoint and other programs is usually (but not always) required
HTML, PHP and other Web experience is quickly becoming required of Vice President, Creative Services
General knowledge platforms such as Shopify, Wix, WordPress, HubSpot, Sales Force, and other marketing platforms
Knowledge of each step of an ad campaign’s process to give creatives direction, work on schedule and meet client’s advertising expectations
Require a bachelor’s degree and/or related experience in agency environments or large corporate departments. 7+ years of experience in an agency or similar field dealing with large budget allocation and ad spend.
This is an onsite role headquartered in Nashville. Telecommuting opportunities available but frequent in person meetings and collaboration at our office as required (up to 100%); candidates should be comfortable with travel and overtime, as client commitment requires. Will always need to be available during normal working hours of 8AM – 5PM M-F.
Establish a marketing team consisting of in house and third party resources to continue to push the Social Link brand forward and its clients. These key roles are in marketing strategy, analytical analysis, SEO, web UI/UX, graphics design, copywriting, social media, and account management. Scale resources according to business sales growth plan.
Website development to enhance content and functionality. Objectives are to improve SEO/Ranking, increase leads and enrich site performance and to provide tools useful to our clients.
Develop processes and workflows to ensure solid communication to clients, internal team members and CEO regarding account health, productivity, and opportunities for growth.
Content generation and organization for Social Link and its clients to enhance website content, sales literature and training material. This includes understanding target market needs and then providing creative oversight and guidance.
Training tools and technology support to the sales force. This will be in the form of webinars, web content, print, promotional materials, new and existing clients pitched digitally and in person.
Customer Analytics and Database Management in various platforms such as Hubspot and Google Drive for the purpose of performing analytics from customer profiling, cross marketing and generating recurring revenue from customer base.
Create an onboarding experience for our clients that is smooth and exciting. This includes promo materials, content and graphical execution.
Create reporting and tracking for new projects, project completion, burn rates, margins, and time allotted for projects.
Review accounts for growth opportunities that make sense for our clients.
Lead accounts when necessary. Account managers will be responsible for the front line communication but you should always be prepared to step in and remain active with key accounts or accounts needing extra support.
Account satisfaction to ensure long term partnerships and company growth.

Preferred minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in communications, science, marketing, or related field of study.
Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 8+ years’ experience in marketing, advertising and working in an advertising agency. Experience in medical, real estate, warehouse and distribution industries, online retail or lead generation strategy are a plus.
Must have 8+ years experience in running, maintaining, and analyzing paid advertising in search, TV and social media.
